Launch Your Label Event

As I'm sure you're all aware (as I haven't stopped talking about it), I was a finalist in this years' Launch Your Label competition. I spent many weeks putting together a capsule summer collection for judges such as Gail Elliott, Justine Cullen, Glynis Traill-Nash and Peter Morrissey.

The event was held at the secretive spot of the moment - The Backroom, Potts Point. Delicious cocktails and canapes were served as well as being entertained by the super sexy duo - Jewel Eyed Fox.

The night was a great success and it was so special to be a part of it. 

Congrats to Tibbity, winning the competition. It was a tough bunch of finalists and I'm sure we're all destined for amazing things!

The boys come out to play...

Milan Men's Fashion Week has just passed and the boys look quite lovely and rugged.... i LIKE it!

Semi Finals!

I got the good news yesterday morning that out of 200 entrants, I was one of the 15 that have made it into the semi finals for this years Launch Your Label competition!
I want to thank everyone for their love and support and a massive thank you to Leisa, Jarred, Manon, Sophie, Andrew, Andrew P, Sharna, Peter and Amelia, Marilyn and Sam for all of your help at the shoot to give me some great things to show in this competition.
I have a lot of work to do for the last part of the competition and as you can see, my competitive side has come out and couldn't be happier!


Lets cross our fingers that I make it to the top 5!

Winter Fever

With Saturday's photo shoot coming up, i've been having quite the manic week trying to get all samples ready. Its looking good and i'm bloody excited! Website will be up and running soon with all the favourite shots from the shoot! Woop woop!

Sound Suits!

He has the name of an awesome musician, but the two Nick Cave's are very different. I recently stumbled upon his work online and was completely wowed by his unique style of clothing. With a love of sound and dance, Cave decided he would create these "sound suits" combining materials such as twigs, knitwear, human hair, buttons and many other things that you wouldn't really dream of putting into clothing. I guess they're more like works of art than wearable items, but I love the fact that whenever people step inside these clothes, they feel like children again. The movement of each piece creates amazing sounds! Take a look...

The Design Room

I'm working on Winter 2013 at the moment. My days right now are spent mostly pattern making and sewing up my jersey samples which is fun (when they work out). Its a nice break from working on the knitwear side of the range also! Here are some pics of my little design room...
